"We've found that a select number of models in our product families increasingly make up a very high percentage of our total PC shipments," said Larry Chang, worldwide manager for HP's PC-distribution programs. "This program enables our partners to make these hot-selling models available to customers when they want them and at the most competitive prices available."

The TopValue program is part of HP's Extended Solutions Partnership Program (ESPP See Employee Stock Purchase Plan. ), a sweeping supply-chain efficiency effort that HP expects to reshape the way all its PC products are designed, configured con·fig·ure

Based on the highly responsive feedback from its channel partners, HP has been working actively to increase the total number of configurations designated as TopValue models available through the program. In coming months, HP expects to add TopValue models from its HP NetServer network server and OmniBook notebook PC lines. More than 15 leading U.S. distributors are expected to have TopValue models in stock this month. HP said each qualified partner has met a rigorous set of guidelines guidelines,
