 Group - including the chief executive and the chairman - took to the streets to help their residents stay warm.

Staff showed their commitment to fighting fuel poverty by paying special home visits.

The group, which manages or owns more than 15,000 homes in Merseyside Merseyside, metropolitan county, NW England. Created in the 1974 local government reorganization, the county embraced the Greater Liverpool metropolitan area and comprised five metropolitan districts: Wirral, Sefton, Liverpool, Knowsley, and St. Helens.  and Cheshire, recently launched its winter warmth campaign, Beat the Chill.

Around 700 selected residents were paid home visits, offering them information, support and special winter warmer packs.

The packs contained hand-held heat packs, blankets, bed socks and drinks sachets.
