NEW YORK, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Household International Netherlands B.V.'s (NYSE: HI) $125 million 5.25 percent notes due 1998 are rated 'A' by Fitch. The rating is based on the guarantee provided by Household International Inc. ("HI"). HI's rating reflects an expected easing of earnings pressure for Household, which announced its planned exit of certain commercial business lines last year. Household's consumer business remains healthy. Once economic conditions in the U.S. and Canada begin to improve, better profitability is expected.
