Lancaster's redevelopment agency will sell the site to SC Premier Properties, which is working with the Hilton Family The Hilton family is a successful American family founded by hotel magnate Conrad Hilton (1887-1979). His descendants continue to hold varying degrees of wealth and status as socialites, and some have become famous, such as great-granddaughter Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton and K-Partners Hospitality Group LP to build at least two hotels. On five of the acres, a three-story, 85-room Hampton Inn and a three-story, 92-room Homewood Suites will be built. The hotels are anticipated to be open in 2007. If market demand is sufficient, the Hilton chain will consider building a third hotel. The third hotel would be one of the top brands, such as Hilton, Doubletree dou·ble·tree n. Homewood Suites is geared toward upscale, extended-stay travelers. Hamptons are geared toward business and leisure travelers. Both hotel chains are owned by Hilton. The combined development is expected to cost roughly $18.7 million. City officials estimate the two hotels will generate $500,000 in revenue from the occupancy tax charged on rooms. The city will make improvements to the site up to an amount equal to the $8.6 million sale price. SC Premier Properties will develop a master plan for the entire 41.6 acres that will include a Tuscan village-themed shopping and entertainment area. The project is expected to include an office building, retail shops and restaurants. City officials said the shopping area will be pedestrian friendly and will have a ``village ambiance am·bi·ance also am·bi·ence n.
