HOT PEOPLE: SEXY SOAP POPERAS; Beauties burst out as EastEnders' Jack and Popstars singer Kym go public.

Byline: Sean O'Brien

SOAP babes popped out in a big way last night as EastEnders star JACK RYDER and Popstars' KYM MARSH finally went public about their affair.

The pair, whose romance was revealed in the Sunday People two weeks ago, arrived at the British Soap Awards wearing matching black suits - and told waiting fans: "We're in love."

Jack, Jamie Mitchell in the BBC soap, had been dating Kym in secret since they both split with their partners.

But the Hear'Say singer was at his side at the awards - to be shown on ITV on Wednesday.

The first gong - for most revealing dress - went to Brookside's JENNIFER ELLISON again. Her skirt was more like a belt.

Corrie's TRACY SHAW (Maxine) looked stunning too in a micro skirt.

And TINA O'BRIEN, NIKKI SANDERSON, SAMIA GHADIE and GEORGIA TAYLOR - the Street's Sarah Louise, Candice, Maria and Toyah - added to the glam.

Thrilled Georgia, in a reference to Gwyneth Paltrow's Oscar tears, said as she won Best Dramatic Performance: "I have to go before I do a Gwynnie."

STEVE McFADDEN, Villain Of The Year for EastEnder Phil Mitchell, said: "I'm chuffed to bits. It's the first award I've ever received."

Co-star TAMZIN OUTHWAITE - Mel - was sexiest female for the third year running. Her screen hubby MARTIN KEMP (Steve Owen) won sexiest male and best actor.

Hollyoaks, despite sexy DANIELLE BRUNT (Gina) and JOANNE TAYLOR (Geri), failed to pick up a single award.

However, the girls deserved a gong for the Best Exposure Of Flesh In A Dress.
