If last year's result at Richmond is any indication, Herta has a good chance to add to his streak of top 10s. He finished fourth in last year's race at Richmond.

He is fourth in the IRL standings, only two points ahead of Scott Sharp, the sixth-place driver.

Six points separate the fourth- through seventh-place drivers. While the middle of the top 10 is bunched up, points leader Dan Wheldon is starting to run away.

The only track under a mile on the IRL schedule, Richmond presents some unique challenges.

``Richmond is the most physically demanding and busiest oval that we race on,'' said Herta, a Hart High of Newhall graduate and driver of the No. 7 Honda-powered entry for Andretti Green Racing. ``Because it is the shortest track we race on, you are always in traffic. It is such a challenge to have a car that can work the top or bottom to get through traffic.''
