HORSE RACING : CALL NOW RINGS IN AT DEL MAR AGAIN.

Byline: Daily News Staff

Call Now recaptured her 1994 Del Mar form, sprinting to a long lead and holding on to win the $76,350 Bayakoa Handicap over the charging Dixie Pearl on Monday.

Call Now and jockey Kent Desormeaux won by a neck, covering a mile in a fast 1:34 2/5, and paid $6.40 after being bet down from 6-1 on the morning line.

Trained by Ron McAnally - who trained Bayakoa - Call Now won for only the third time in nearly 22 months since a brilliant victory in the Del Mar Debutante. The daughter of Wild Again is 3 for 3 at Del Mar and 2 for 9 elsewhere.
