 HORNBECK ADOPTS INTERNATIONAL STRATEGY
 GALVESTON, Texas, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Larry D. Hornbeck,


chairman and chief executive officer, announced today that Roger Sykes has joined Hornbeck Offshore Services, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: HOSS), as vice president - international.
 Sykes has 17 years of international marine service marketing, chartering and operating experience and will play a key role in Hornbeck Offshore's strategic expansion into the international offshore sector. Sykes was formerly director of international marketing with Zapata Gulf Marine.
 A significant portion of Hornbeck Offshore's 34-vessel fleet is ideally suited for international service in moderate environment areas. The anchor-handling tug-supply vessels and supply boats in this segment represent some of the most modern equipment in their class.
 The company is engaged in the offshore marine services business, currently serving the oil and gas industry in the Gulf of Mexico through its operation and management of a diversified fleet of vessels. The fleet consists of supply, tug-supply, utility, crew, container hauling and geophysical vessels with offices in Galveston, Texas, and Morgan City, La.
