HOOFERS' CRUISE TAP DANCERS WIN TOP HONORS IN COMPETITION.Byline: Daily News PALMDALE - Antelope Valley's senior tap dance group, the Boogie Woogie Mamas, brought home the gold from a January competition cruise sponsored by All American Dance Championship. Dancing aboard Costa Cruise Line's Atlantica while the ship was en route from Cozumel to Jamaica, the ladies won four gold medals and a plaque for highest points scored in the large group category. Winning numbers performed by the group included the lyrical dance Lyrical dance is a fusion of ballet and jazz dance techniques. Lyrical dance challenges choreographers and dancers to use motion to interpret music and express emotion.
