HONORING TREE-PLANTING BOOSTERS.


AMERICAN FORESTS' tree-planting partner Eddie Bauer Eddie Bauer (NASDAQ: EBHI) is a clothing store chain. Headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, and a subsidiary of Eddie Bauer Holdings (formerly Spiegel, Inc.), the company was founded in Seattle in 1920 as "Eddie Bauer's Sport Shop" by its namesake, Eddie Bauer (1899 –  recently honored some of its own for their outstanding efforts to encourage customers to contribute to the specialty retailer's add-a-dollar, plant-a-tree program. The program encourages customers to add extra money to their final bill to plant trees in AMERICAN FORESTS' Global ReLeaf Forests.

Eddie Bauer's 10,000 sales associates in more than 500 stores competed for prizes that included computers, airplane airplane, aeroplane, or aircraft, heavier-than-air vehicle, mechanically driven and fitted with fixed wings that support it in flight through the dynamic action of the air.  tickets, scholarships, and mountain bikes; winners increased contributions to Global ReLeaf or showed outstanding team spirit.

"Of all the groups I've worked with in the past, the energy of the Eddie Bauer employees is just phenomenal," says Karen Fedor, who directs AMERICAN FORESTS' Global ReLeaf program.

"They are extremely enthusiastic about the program ... Once they commit to something they're committed all the way."

Fedor recalled working with some of the employees at recent plantings in Puget Sound Puget Sound (py`jĕt), arm of the Pacific Ocean, NW Wash., connected with the Pacific by Juan de Fuca Strait, entered through the Admiralty Inlet and extending in two arms c.  and the Chesapeake Bay Chesapeake Bay, inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, c.200 mi (320 km) long, from 3 to 30 mi (4.8–48 km) wide, and 3,237 sq mi (8,384 sq km), separating the Delmarva Peninsula from mainland Maryland. and Virginia.  region. "It was great because they got to experience the fruits of their labor ...

"[Planting trees] re-energizes them. They see that, yes, what they're doing [in the stores] does make a difference and that there is an impact to their efforts beyond who can raise the most money."

Honored during the two-phase competition were:

Northeast Region: Antoinette Chimento, Lori Howard, Lulette Johnson, Mary Kerin, Rhonda Maclaughlin, Jo Malia, Margaret Martin, Regina Quintin, Curtis Richard, Luis Rosario, Mimi Skeary, Melissa Thomas

Southeast Region: Adam Breckenridge, Jamie Cowart, Caroline Griffin, Dong Kyu Lee, Linda Moss, Cara Sims, Clendy Smith, Stephen Smith, Stephen (1823–1922) surgeon, public health pioneer; born in Onondaga County, N.Y. On the staff at Bellevue Hospital from 1851 until 1911, he wrote several textbooks, of which his Handbook of Surgical Operations  Stutsman, Nathan Watts Nathan Watts is an American session bass guitar player, best known for his work with Stevie Wonder from the 1970s to the present.
