Walter W. Mosher A mosher is a person who is crossed between goth/punk/skater they have long hair and listen to music like slipknot and metal music. Some people call them headbangers. At certain music shows they have something called a mosh pit, basically its a fight pit with loads of people bashing each other.  Jr. is a lot of things: successful businessman, philanthropist, community activist.

On the eve On the Eve (Накануне in Russian) is the third novel by famous Russian writer Ivan Turgenev, best known for his short stories and the novel Fathers and Sons.  of accepting the 1996 Nelle Reagan award for volunteerism, Mosher also acknowledged being a bit nervous.

Mosher, who will be honored tonight in Woodland Hills, is the 11th recipient of an award honoring distinguished community service and named after President Reagan's mother, Nelle, who volunteered at the Olive View-UCLA Medical Center Olive View-UCLA Medical Center is a hospital located in the Sylmar neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, USA. The hospital was founded on October 27, 1920, and is funded by Los Angeles County [1]. .

Organizers of the event say Mosher is a deserving recipient, having spent nearly a lifetime dedicating himself to helping others.

``He best exemplified the spirit of volunteerism,'' said Beverly Froelich of the Olive View-UCLA Medical Center Foundation, the award sponsor. ``The time and energy is enormous, yet he doesn't slow down.''

Mosher, president and founder of the Pacoima-based Precision Dynamics Corp., spends a good part of each day supporting partisan issues, advocating health care reform and backing issues that involve the quality of life.

 in Washington, and that he believes the first rule of government should be the same as it is for the medical profession: ``First, do no harm.''

Originally known as the 'Police Rotary Youth Club' PCYC originated in Sydney, Australia in the 1930s. There are currently 57 clubs in New South Wales.

``I've never been one who likes to receive praise for something I feel everybody should be doing,'' Mosher said.

Of the Nelle Reagan award he said: ``I am honored to be recognized, and this particular event will help fund-raising efforts.''

The proceeds from the dinner will enhance Olive View's health care delivery system with emphasis on health education programs, delivery of health care services, expansion and improvement of facilities and community related research projects.
