HOMEBANC MORTGAGE CORPORATION ANNOUNCES PROMOTIONS

 ATLANTA, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- HomeBanc Mortgage Corporation, Atlanta's largest originator of home mortgages, has announced that Barbara H. Aiken has joined the corporation as vice president of Public Affairs.
 Prior to joining HomeBanc, Aiken served as loan administration liaison with a major real estate law firm, was a member of Fannie Mae's Housing Initiatives Team, and served as divisional vice president of Old Republic Title Insurance Company. She brings to HomeBanc Mortgage many years of experience in the area of community lending, and has received the Mortgage Bankers of Georgia President's Award.
 Several promotions were announced at the corporation's annual meeting. Steve Gerson was elected to senior vice president. Gerson will be responsible for the Management Information Systems Department, the Shipping Department and regulatory compliance. Gerson is a certified public accountant and holds his master's degree in professional accountancy from Georgia State University.
 In addition, Jetta Wilson and Susan Norman were promoted to the office of vice president; Pamela Green and Michelle Dorman to assistant vice president; and Karen Cardassi, Wendy Waters, Lisa Haynie and Shirley Miller to senior loan analyst.
 In 1993, HomeBanc Mortgage Corporation was the number one residential lender in the Atlanta metropolitan area with loan closing expected to exceed $800 million.
