Murphy said members of the public still have an opportunity to appeal the Home Depot project today and Thursday.

Unless there is such an appeal, the project is expected to proceed, with a potential opening around the end of this year.

Vander Borght said Tuesday he could support the project now that Home Depot would pay the $94,000 a year.

City Councilman Todd Campbell said the council was trying to deal with potential problems with day laborers. City Councilwoman Marsha Ramos said these harms can include littering, blocking of parking lots, drinking and harassment Ask a Lawyer
