HOLIDAY PARADE MANY EARN HONORS IN A.V. EVENT.

LANCASTER - Christian Life Assembly won the Sweepstakes Award in the Antelope Valley Chambers of Commerce's holiday parade on Dec. 4.

Best interpretation of the theme - ``Bells are Ringing, Children are Singing'' - was Cub Scout Pack 68. The Queen's Trophy went to Leona Valley Royalty, while the President's Trophy went to Grace Chapel. The Judges' Trophy went to Antelope Valley React Team C-40.

Other winners by category were:

Single antique auto: Antelope Valley Bank. Group antique auto: High Desert Cruisers Car Club, first; Antelope Valley A's Model A Ford Club, second; and A.V Region Antique Automobile Club of America, third.

Single decorated auto: Yucca Bloomers Red Hat Society, first; Royal Family Kids Camp, second; and HomeTown Buffet, third. Group decorated auto: Antelope Valley Corvette Club, first; and Phun Time Cruisers, second.

Single specialized auto: Prestige Assisted Living, first; Critical Car Care, second; and Camacho Auto Sales, third. Group specialized auto: American Legion Post 311, first; and High Desert Four Wheelers, second.

Cheerleaders: Amargosa Creek Middle School, first; Desert Christian School, second; and Sacred Heart, third.
