HOLDEN GROUP INCREASES INTEREST RATES 25 BASIS POINTS ON SELECTED ANNUITIES

 LOS ANGELES, Calif., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Holden Group, Los Angeles-based annuity marketing and administration organization, today announced interest rate increases of 25 basis points on some of its most popular annuities.
 "Effective immediately, first year interest rates are being increased by one-quarter percent on several of the annuities underwritten by Security First Life Insurance Company," said Michael R. McCoy, Holden Group senior vice president.
 Among the Holden annuities affected, Security First Life's Accumulation Bonus Annuity interest rate increases to 5.80 percent from 5.55 percent. The Investor's Choice Variable Annuity, which includes some Fidelity Investments mutual funds, increases from 5.0 percent to 5.25 percent. The Banker's Choice Annuity, which is available from banks to their customers in most states, also increases from 5.0 percent to 5.25 percent.
