HMP Comm. completes purchase of Multimedia Healthcare/Freedom; starts title.HMP HMP - hybrid multiprocessing Communications (Malvern, PA), a medical publishing and communications company, has completed the acquisition of Multimedia Healthcare/Freedom (MMHC MMHC Massachusetts Mental Health Center MMHC Michigan Mushroom Hunters Club (Ann Arbor, Michigan) MMHC Mamiya Medical Heritage Center (Honolulu, HI) MMHC Michigan Manufactured Home Commission ; Princeton, NJ) from Freedom Communications (Irvine, CA). No terms of the deal were given. The acquired assets include Annals of Long-Term Care long-term care (LTC), n the provision of medical, social, and personal care services on a recurring or continuing basis to persons with chronic physical or mental disorders. , a monthly journal focusing on the clinical and practical issues related to the diagnosis and management of long-term care patients, and Clinical Geriatrics geriatrics (jĕrēă`trĭks), the branch of medicine concerned with conditions and diseases of the aged. Many disabilities in old age are caused by or related to the deterioration of the circulatory system (see arteriosclerosis), e.g. , a monthly journal focusing on the clinical and practical issues related to geriatric care. MMHC also provides a range of communications services to pharmaceutical clients through its Programs in Medicine division. HMP president/coo Charles Benaiah said the deal "builds upon HMP's existing publications and services geared toward the aging population and complements HMP's offering across all company divisions." Also, HMP has begun the publication of Vantage magazine with an August issue. The new quarterly title is co-produced by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of ) and is distributed on a controlled basis to caregivers of individuals with Alzeimer's disease and related illnesses. Editorial includes information on managing stress, at-home cognitive therapies, handling difficult behaviors, safety issues and disease prevention.
