Also, the company has relaunched PA Today, a monthly magazine acquired from Great Valley Publishing last October, with an August issue. EP Lab Digest is being targeted to 15,000 electrophysiology professionals on a controlled basis. HMP said it is designed to keep readers updated on current information in "one of the fastest growing specialties in cardiology." The company said the title features coverage of such topics as management issues and therapeutic options, and includes interviews, clinical updates, innovations, device updates, industry news and data on jobs and events. The first issue included stories on methods for identifying at--risk patients, arryhthmia control and the value of education in the lab. In related news, HMP has relaunched PA Today, a monthly with a controlled circulation of 45,000 physician assistants. Acquired by HMP in October 2000, the magazine is designed to serve the clinical and practice management information needs of physician assistants. PA Today publisher Mike Koehler said the title "provides us with an excellent brand for us to begin to serve the primary care market." The relaunched magazine is "freshly designed, with expanded practice management and clinical editorial, increased circulation, and providing a stronger voice for PAs and their profession," Koehler said. HMP now publishes eight medical titles, including Invasive Cardiology, Wounds, Extended Care Product News and Skin & Aging Magazine. |
