But while his girls' team - the sixth at Royal since the sport became a Southern Section-sanctioned competition in 1999 - is young and largely inexperienced, there also is a tradition of golf success at Royal. Danny Hoffenberg won the Marmonte League boys' championship in May as a junior, becoming the Highlanders' second individual champion in five years - following Roy Moon, who played on UCLA's NCAA NCAA abbr. National Collegiate Athletic Association runner-up team this past season. ``Our motto for the year is 'Just Improve,' '' Misko said of this season's girls' team, which is the most inexperienced he has fielded.
