Regardless, Williams, 17, has high expectations for his life. ``You can always do something. Don't ever say that you can't,'' Williams said. ``I want to complete college, become financially stable and successful.'' Williams, a tap dancer for 11 years, will compete in the Spotlight Awards Competition on Monday, April 17, at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion is one of the halls in the Los Angeles Music Center (which is one of the three largest performing arts centers in the United States). The Music Center's other halls include the Mark Taper Forum, Ahmanson Theatre, and Walt Disney Concert Hall. for a chance at $5,000. Six categories make up the Spotlight Awards: ballet, jazz/modern dance, classical voice, nonclassical voice, classical instrumental music and jazz instrumental music. Williams' mother owns a dance center called ``Dance Connection Academy'' in Los Angeles. Williams said that he practices 4 1/2 hours a day, four days a week. He teaches tap dancing at his mother's studio twice a week. ``That's one of the reasons I want to teach, because it's so rewarding to see kids learning from me and then I can see progress and progress and more progress,'' he said. ``And I figure this is just tap; what can I do with their education?
