``All our science facilities have been renovated, and now we have facilities that are state-of-the-art,'' said Jean Lecuyer, director of the science center and physics professor.

``Everything has Internet access See how to access the Internet. , equipment is being renovated extensively, and because of state funding we're able to buy things that we could only dream of before,'' she said.

The Science Center Complex consists of four buildings - two renovated and two new facilities - that were funded through the school's facilities bond, donations, and federal and state funding.

The new Cimmarusti Science Building bears the name of philanthropists and brothers Ralph and Larry Cimmarusti, who donated do·nate

The complex will be the site of teacher training and joint projects with faculty and students from local schools.

``There will be a number of opportunities for students at various levels to visit the science center, particularly the planetarium,'' said Brown, the Glendale schools superintendent. ``So that certainly will be a wonderful addition to the resources that are available to students in our district.''

``In addition to that,'' he said, ``the college does provide for some of our high school students to take courses on the campus, so they will more directly benefit from the kinds of courses ... not be available at our schools.''

The 64,420-square-foot science center will be equipped with a seismographic seis·mo·graph

The exhibition hall inside the science center will be used to educate the public on physical phenomena and will feature an energy conservation display, which shows how solar panels on the roof of the building - donated by Glendale Water and Power - will generate electricity to power the facility.

Each seat in big lecture halls will be equipped with plugs for computers and Internet access. Laboratories will also be computerized computerized

The college also celebrated its 75th anniversary Sunday. In 1927 voters approved the junior college district that became Glendale Community College.
