HIGH-SPEED CRASH KILLS MOTORCYCLIST.

LITTLEROCK - A 23-year-old Littlerock man died after his motorcycle slammed into the rear of a car slowing to make a left turn, officials said Wednesday.

The motorcycle hit the rear of a 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass The Oldsmobile Cutlass was an automobile made by the Oldsmobile division of General Motors. The Cutlass was introduced in 1961 as a unibody compact car competing with the Dodge Lancer and Mercury Comet.  driven by Anthony Felix, 29, of Littlerock, who was slowing on Avenue T to turn left at 94th Street East.

Ortiz was riding a 1987 Honda Hurricane.

The impact was so great it spun the Oldsmobile off to the side of the road and launched Ortiz 60 feet through the air, officials said.

Officials said they believe Ortiz was traveling faster than the 55 mph speed limit.
