HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' GOLF: HOFFENBERG, ROYAL WIN.

Not only did Matt Hoffenberg's 6-under 66 help him claim the top individual spot by six strokes at the Southern Section Central Coast team divisional on Monday at Village Country Club in Lompoc, but it also helped Royal of Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  capture the team title.

Hoffenberg's showing was highlighted by five birdies and an eagle.

Evan Janke finished second behind Hoffenberg, with a 72 for San Marcos San Marcos (săn mär`kəs).

The Highlanders' closest opponent was San Marcos, which finished second with a team score of 384.
