 Johnson scored a game-high 22 points as the Panthers overcame a nine-point second-half deficit to beat South Kent (Conn.) 81-75 at the first Stoneridge Holiday Prep Classic at Calabasas High. Stoneridge went 2-1 on the weekend. Boys to Men Academy of Chicago was 3-0.

Johnson, a highly recruited guard from Minneapolis, averaged 17.5 points in two games at the tournament and was named to the all-tournament team along with teammate Charles Boozer, who averaged 18.7 points in three games.

Johnson and junior forward Troy Gillenwater (21 points) had to step up Sunday after 6-11 forward Mamadou Diarra and 7-1 center Boubacar Sylla got into foul trouble.

``He's quick, he makes things happen. He's a true point guard,'' Stoneridge coach Babacar Sy said of Johnson.

Former Montclair Prep of Panorama City standout Jin Soo Kim had seven points for South Kent. Former Taft of Woodland Hills guard Calvin Haynes had 13. College scouts from Arizona Arizona (âr'əzō`nə), state in the southwestern United States. It is bordered by Utah (N), New Mexico (E), Mexico (S), and, across the Colorado R., Nevada and California (W).  State, Washington and Fresno State were spotted in the stands Sunday.
