HI-TEC ADVENTURE RUN TO TEST SURVIVAL TECHNIQUES AT NIGHT.

The Hi-Tec Adventure Racing Series National Championships return next week to Castaic Lake Castaic Lake is a lake on Castaic Creek formed by Castaic Dam, in northwestern Los Angeles County, California, near the town of Castaic. The 323,700 acre foot lake (399,000,000 m³) is the terminus of the West Branch of the California Aqueduct, though some comes from the 154 mi² .

 Challenge, Raid Gauloises and the X (Extreme) Games, Saturday's Hi-Tec championship round will include special mystery tests interspersed throughout the 5- to 8-mile trail run with its natural obstacles, one hour of kayaking and a 10- to 15-mile mountain bike course.

Teams of three will compete together in the adventure sprint race a foot race at the highest running speed; - usually limited to distances under a quarter of a mile.
