Schnier, 33, says the kind words are still slowly sinking in.

`To me, it still feels like it's just us,'' he says. ``It still feels the same way it did 10 years ago when we were just starting this.''

Moe. was founded in Buffalo, N.Y., in 1991. Back then, its members were fresh out of college, and all they wanted to do was make music.

The band toured incessantly, packing bars. And later clubs. It self-released several recordings on its own Fatboy Records before signing with 550 Music in 1996.

``The beauty to all this is that there's never really been any down time for us,'' says Schnier. ``It would be difficult to do this if we were stagnating for years or had only mildly had any success and were just struggling to recapture it.

``Not to say we're hugely successful by any means,'' he says. ``We're not likely ever to be the Dave Matthews Band, but we do make a good living at this. It's already far surpassed anything I would have ever imagined for us.''
