HEWLETT-PACKARD TO INVEST IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGIES
 FOR INTERNATIONAL BANKING SYSTEMS ON UNIX
 NEW YORK, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Management Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: MTCI) announced today that it has entered into a letter of intent with Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HWP). Under the agreement, HP will invest significant resources including money, hardware, software, people and facilities in MTI for the porting and development of MTI's international banking systems on HP's Unix platform.
 "Our new partnership with Hewlett-Packard provides us with solid backing for our entry into the fast-growing Unix world," said Anthony J. Cataldo, president of MTI. "HP's decision to invest money in addition to people and equipment is an indication of their commitment to take a leading role in the banking industry and their confidence in MTI's existing products and strategic direction."
 The letter of intent is not a binding agreement and is subject to the execution of mutually acceptable definitive agreements. There can be no assurance that such definitive agreements will be entered into on the terms described above.
 MTI trades on NASDAQ under MTCI for common stock and MTCIW for warrants.
