 HERCULES ANNOUNCES FOUR NEW SENIOR EXECUTIVE POSITIONS
 WILMINGTON, Del., Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Hercules Incorporated's


(NYSE: HPC) Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Thomas L. Gossage today announced four new senior executive positions at the company.
 Gossage said the changes are "the next step in building the organizational team that will lead Hercules Incorporated in the 1990s."
 The changes, effective Feb. 1, 1992, are as follows:
 Robert J.A. Fraser, senior vice president, administration. Reporting to Fraser will be Human Resources, Public Affairs, Management Processes, International and Science & Technology. Fraser is currently president, Paper Technology Group.
 Vincent J. Corbo, group vice president, and president, Hercules Materials Company. Reporting to Corbo will be Absorbant & Textile Products Group, Packaging Films Group, and Hercules Advanced Materials & Systems Company. Corbo is currently president, Hercules Advanced Materials & Systems Company.
 C. Doyle Miller, group vice president, and president, Hercules Chemical Specialties Company. Reporting to Miller will be Paper Technology Group and Resins Group. Miller is currently president, Aqualon Company.
 Thomas G. Tepas, group vice president, and president, Hercules Food & Functional Chemicals Company. Reporting to Tepas will be Aqualon Company and Fragrance & Food Ingredients Group. Tepas is currently president, Fragrance & Food Ingredients Group.
 Gossage said the timing of the changes is prompted by the previously scheduled retirement plans of two top executives, Fred L. Buckner, president and chief operating officer; and Dr. Eugene D. Crittenden Jr., senior vice president.
 Other changes in reporting relationships are as follows:
 Planning will report to R. Keith Elliott, senior vice president and chief financial officer.
 Health & Environment will report to James D. Beach, vice president, Operations Support.
 Other operational and staff units and executives reporting to Gossage which remain unchanged are: Richard Schwartz, executive vice president, and president, Hercules Aerospace Company, and Michael B. Keehan, vice president and general counsel.
 Biographical information on the four executives named to new positions follows:
 Robert J.A. Fraser is a native of Montreal, Canada. He received a B.A.Sc. degree in chemical engineering from the University of British Columbia in 1971 and an M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario in 1975. He joined Hercules in 1971. In 1984 he was named president of Hercules Canada and, in 1985, relocated to corporate headquarters in Wilmington as vice president of Hercules' Organics group. In 1988, he was named to head Hercules' Resins business. He became president of the Hercules Paper Technology Group in 1989.
 Dr. Vincent J. Corbo is a native of Port Chester, N.Y. He received a B.Ch.E. degree in chemical engineering from Manhattan College in 1965 and a Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1969. He then joined Hercules at its Research Center, in Wilmington. Following research and business strategy assignments, he became head of Hercules' fibers business in 1986 and its films business in 1987. He became president, Hercules Advanced Materials & Systems Company in 1989.
 C. Doyle Miller is a native of Colquitt, Ga. He received a B.I.E. degree in engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1963. He joined Hercules in 1967. Following manufacturing and marketing assignments, he was named to head Hercules' fibers business in 1989, and to his current position as president, Aqualon Company, in 1991.
 Thomas G. Tepas is a native of Buffalo, N.Y. He received a B.S.E. degree in chemical engineering in 1968 and an M.B.A. in 1970, both from the University of Michigan. He joined Hercules in 1967 as a student chemical engineer. Following assignments in sales and marketing, he became business director, Nonionic Polymers, Aqualon Group, in 1987. He became president of Hercules' Fragrance & Food Ingredients Group in 1991.
