HELP SOUGHT IN SOLVING TEEN'S SLAYING.

LANCASTER - A 15-year-old Lancaster boy was shot to death in what investigators said Friday may have been a gang-related shooting.

Israel Escobar was gunned down as he and companions walked along Morningside Avenue Morningside Avenue is a north-south street in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and the former city of Scarborough.

The street starts at Guildwood Parkway, and Lake Ontario to the south, and travels along the former Lot 10 line northwards through the Highland Creek valley, to Finch
 near 25th Street East in Lancaster just after 6 p.m. Thursday.

``Investigators are still up there trying to figure out happened,'' said Deputy Tanya Plunket of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

The shooting occurred as Escobar and his companions were walking along Morningside Avenue and passed another group of teenagers, officials said.

Someone in the group drew a handgun and fired at the first group, striking Escobar. Witnesses said the teen suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

Investigators said they have very little information to work with and are hoping that witnesses will come forward with descriptions.
