HEICO's MediTek subsidiary announces eleventh imaging center.

), Thursday announced that its highly profitable and rapidly growing MediTek Health Corp. subsidiary opened its eleventh high technology medical diagnostic imaging center on the campus of Palms of Pasadena Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla.

, operates a high field strength Magnetic Resonance Imaging magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), noninvasive diagnostic technique that uses nuclear magnetic resonance to produce cross-sectional images of organs and other internal body structures.  (MRI) system as an out-patient imaging center on the hospital's campus.

Laurans A. Mendelson, HEICO's chairman, president and chief executive officer commented that: "Palms of Pasadena MRI is another step in our successful fulfillment of HEICO's and MediTek's growth plans. At its formation in late 1991, MediTek, which is based in Miami, Fla., operated only one imaging center. Today, MediTek operates 11 imaging centers in three states and is planning continued expansion."
