Taheri was shot in the head after a robber confronted him as he and his girlfriend sat in his car on Burbank Boulevard in Encino, according to Deputy District Attorney Janice L. Maurizi. The robber - who prosecutors identified as Moore - forced Taheri out of his car, demanded money, then fired when Taheri resisted, Maurizi said.
