Arctic Monkeys Arctic Monkeys are an English indie rock band from High Green, a suburb of Sheffield. Formed in 2002, the band currently consists of Alex Turner on lead vocals and guitar, Jamie Cook on guitar, Matt Helders on drums and backing vocals, and Nick O'Malley on bass guitar, a position : ``Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I Am Not'' (Domino) References to the Stone Roses, Oasis, and the Smiths fuel this inspired debut.

Ray Davies Raymond Douglas Davies, CBE (born June 21, 1944 at Fortis Green, London) is an influential English rock musician, best known as lead singer-songwriter for The Kinks - one of the most influential, prolific and long-lived British Invasion bands - which he led with his younger : ``Other People's Lives'' (V2) First-ever solo disc from Kinks main man contains smart, funny tunes.
