HEAR TODAY NEW RELEASE AND NEWS FROM THE MUSIC WORLD.

Byline: - Compiled by Sandra Barrera

Beach Boy Brian Wilson's ``Smile'' lands on record store shelves today as something of a long-lost treasure.

Thirty-seven years ago, this follow-up to ``Pet Sounds'' that Wilson called his ``teenage symphony to God'' was interrupted by his mental breakdown and substance abuse.

Just last year, Wilson announced he was reteaming with ``Smile'' collaborator Van Dyke Parks to finish the album, now available on Nonesuch Records.

The album will bring Wilson to the Walt Disney Concert Hall on Nov. 3. Tickets are $65 to $135 and available at (213) 480-3232 or www.ticketmaster.com.

Here's a sample of new and reissued music arriving in stores today:

Everclear: ``Ten Years Gone: The Best of Everclear 1994-2004'' (Capitol) This retrospective features all the hits, plus two previously unreleased songs.

Talib Kweli: ``The Beautiful Struggle'' (Geffen) The follow-up to the hip-hop artist's debut includes collaborations with Common, Mary J. Blige and RES, as well as production by Kayne West and the Neptunes.

Bacilos: ``Sin Verguenza'' (WEA International) The disc includes three tracks produced by Tom Capone, the Brazilian producer who was killed in a motorcycle crash early this month, hours after leaving the Latin Grammys, where he was nominated in five categories, including album of the year for his work with Maria Rita.

Chris Botti: ``When I Fall in Love'' (Columbia) Paula Cole and Sting make an appearance on the trumpeter's collection of love songs, which includes fresh interpretations of ``Someone to Watch Over Me'' by Ira and George Gershwin, ``No Ordinary Love'' by Sade, and ``What I'll Do'' by Irving Berlin.

Hilary Duff: ``Hilary Duff'' (Buena Vista) The former ``Lizzy McGuire'' star celebrates her 17th birthday with this follow-up to her ``Metamorphosis'' recording debut of last year.

Earlimart: ``Treble and Tremble'' (Palm Pictures) Singer-songwriter Aaron Espinoza unveils his new album about love, 8 p.m. Thursday at Hollywood's El Cid, 4212 W. Santa Monica Blvd.

The Used: ``In Love and Death'' (Reprise) The rock act's sophomore release features a dozen tracks, including the single ``Take It Away.''
