US Airways and bmi will begin code sharing Oct. 27 2004. Initially, US Airways will place its code on bmi's flights to Edinburgh and Glasgow from Manchester. US Airways operates its own seasonal nonstops from Philadelphia to Glasgow. Both airlines are members of the Star Alliance. Dividend Miles members can earn actual miles or the minimum 500-mile credit when flying on qualifying bmi flights. In addition, a 50 percent Class-of-Service bonus will be given when flying in business class. All miles count toward achieving preferred status.
