With rail, a head-on collision often implies a collision on a single line railway. with a car driven by a suspected drunk driver, sheriff's deputies said.
The motorcyclist's name was not immediately released after the 12:10 a.m. collision on Palmdale Boulevard near 80th Street East, pending notification of relatives, deputies said.
Brian Dunlap Jr., 22, of Littlerock was arrested on suspicion of felony felony (fĕl`ənē), any grave crime, in contrast to a misdemeanor, that is so declared in statute or was so considered in common law. drunk driving and a blood sample was taken to determine if he was under the influence of alcohol, deputies said.
Deputies said Dunlop was driving east on the two-lane road in a 1975 Camaro and crossed over the center line, possibly attempting to pass another vehicle. He didn't see the motorcyclist coming the other way and hit it head on, deputies said.
