HEAD-ON CRASH KILLS MOTORCYCLIST.
PALMDALE - A motorcyclist was killed early Sunday in a head-on collision with a car driven by a suspected drunk driver, sheriff's deputies said.
The motorcyclist's name was not immediately released after the 12:10 a.m. collision on Palmdale Boulevard near 80th Street East, pending notification of relatives, deputies said.
Brian Dunlap Jr., 22, of Littlerock was arrested on suspicion of felony drunk driving and a blood sample was taken to determine if he was under the influence of alcohol, deputies said.
Deputies said Dunlop was driving east on the two-lane road in a 1975 Camaro and crossed over the center line, possibly attempting to pass another vehicle. He didn't see the motorcyclist coming the other way and hit it head on, deputies said.
Anyone with information on the collision should call the Palmdale sheriff's station traffic office at (661) 267-4300, deputies said.
