HDMI Simplified Facilitates Connections to New HD Displays.

HDMI connects DRM-enforcing digital audio/video sources, such as a set-top box, a Blu-ray Disc player, a PC running  (HDMI) standard present on the latest High-Definition (HD) displays.

The new HDS(TM) system is comprised of a "5-input 1-output" HDMI 1.3 compliant switch box and optional converter cables. The HT-SW501 switch provides push button or remote selection of video and audio signals through five HDMI ports, allowing the user to share multiple sources with one HDMI display. Each HDS converter cable plugs into and is powered by the HDS switch to address the need to convert specific legacy audio and video signals to an HDMI-compatible high-definition video This article is about high-definition video technology. GloLink(TM) connectors incorporated into the HDS cables present a "link good" confirmation light when components are correctly connected.
