HCPro extends reach into the healthcare community with two key acquisitions.


The acquisitive healthcare publisher HCPro Inc. recently completed its first two purchases of 2005 and its fifth and sixth in the past 12 months. Its purchase of the medical coding products of HP3 Inc. extends the company's reach in the sector of medical information, education and compliance. Competitors include Eli Research's Coding Institute and a number of coding titles published by UCG UCG United Church of God

The deal brings HCPro a coding e-mail newsletter, E-Coding News, the website www.justcoding.com, the "Coding Lunch and Learn" library of training programs, and a library of online learning courses.

The founders of the Bethlehem, Penn.-based HP3, Ruthann Russo JD, MPH, RHIT RHIT Registered Health Information Technician  and Joseph J. Russo Esq., sold HP3's coding product lines to concentrate on their growing healthcare consulting practice.
