HCPro expands into managed care field with purchase of National Health Information.


In its fourth acquisition of 2006 and its inauguration INAUGURATION. This word was applied by the Romans to the ceremony of dedicating some temple, or raising some man to the priesthood, after the augurs had been consulted. It was afterwards applied to the installation (q.v.  into the managed care field, HCPro Inc. last month acquired National Health Information LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

. HCPro has purchased all of the assets of NHI, including 13 newsletters and ancillary products, several manuals, and one directory.

Marblehead, Mass.-based HCPro will create a new managed care market, composed of NHI's newsletters that focus on payors and vendors affiliated with payors, in such areas as disease management, capitation CAPITATION. A poll tax; an imposition which is yearly laid on each person according to his estate and ability.

David Schwartz David Schwartz is a composer, noted for his scoring the music for the multiple Emmy Award-winning television series, Arrested Development, Deadwood, and numerous others. He attended the School of Visual Arts in New York and the Berklee College of Music in Boston. , NHI's founder and president, will retain a consulting role with HCPro. He also plans to solicit other publishing clients as well. He said, "I'm thrilled to be joining up with HCPro. Their organization is a perfect fit for NHI's products, and their marketing and development muscle will surely bring significant growth to our product line at a pace that we simply could not accomplish on our own."

HCPro president Bruce Guzowski noted that the two companies have already been partners on many successful audioconferences.
