HCPro acquires health security titles.


In what it calls a "growth phase," Opus opus (ō`pəs) [Lat.,=work], in music, term used in cataloging a composer's works, designating either a single composition or a group published together or considered a unit.  Communications Inc., a division of HCPro Corporation, last week acquired the health security publishing assets of Rusting Publications of Westbury, N.Y. The purchase is part of HCPro's expansion into health care security, disaster planning disaster planning - disaster recovery , and bioterrorism bi·o·ter·ror·ism

Opus bought Rusting's Hospital Security and Safety Managment monthly newsletter, plus Rusting's line of seven health care security books and manuals. Opus, which had launched its own Healthcare Security and Disaster Alert newsletter last December (NL/NL 12/31/01), has renamed that publication Healthcare Security and Emergency Management. Former Rusting newsletter readers will receive HSEM HSEM Homeland Security and Emergency Management
