HCPro Launches Coding Manuals for 2008 ICD-9-CM and HCPCS Codes.

MARBLEHEAD, Mass. -- HCPro Inc., a leading publisher of coding education and training products for health information management (HIM) professionals, announces the development of coding manuals for 2008 ICD-9-CM and HCPCS codes.

"As a leading provider of e-learning, Boot Camps, and other educational materials for coding and billing training, it makes sense for us to complete our suite of offerings by publishing coding manuals," says company president and CEO Bruce Guzowski. "Coders and HIM professionals turn to HCPro every day for online and electronic resources, newsletters, books, audioconferences and Webcasts. By developing this line of coding manuals, coders will be able to get all the tools they need for success from one source. It's one-stop shopping."

HCPro's manual line includes:

2008 ICD-9-CM Manual Volumes 1, 2, and 3 for Hospitals (http://www.hcmarketplace.com/prod-5242-EM57816A.html )

2008 ICD-9-CM Manual Volumes 1 and 2 for Professional Services (http://www.hcmarketplace.com/prod-5241-EM57816A.html )

2008 HCPCS Level II Manual (http://www.hcmarketplace.com/prod-5287-EM57816A.html )

In addition, HCPro will sell the American Medical Association's CPT 2008 Professional Edition (http://www.hcmarketplace.com/prod-5286-EM57816A.html )

The manuals are available for individual purchase, or bundled in a hospital version package (http://www.hcmarketplace.com/prod-5289-EM57816A.html ) or a professional services package (http://www.hcmarketplace.com/prod-5288-EM57816A.html) that includes the appropriate ICD-9-CM manual, the HCPCS manual, and the AMA's CPT manual.

"We've surveyed and talked to hundreds of coders about what they want to see in a code manual, and used that feedback, along with the expert guidance from our certified coder boot camp instructors, to produce eye-friendly books with the conventions coders need," Guzowski said.

The manuals will be published when 2008 codes are finalized and shipped prior to code implementation deadlines. For information or to place an order, use the links provided or call the HCPro Customer Service Department at 800/650-6787. Through June 30, HCPro offers a 20% discount on preorders for each manual or manual package.
