It may not have the crowd appeal of the prime-time Emmys, which, after 21 years, moved out of Pasadena last year for the larger Shrine Auditorium The Shrine Auditorium is a landmark large-event venue in Los Angeles, California, USA. But there was still enough star power to bring a small crowd of fans to watch as the limos rolled down Green Street, dropping off favorites from such top-rated shows as ``ER,'' ``Frasier,'' ``Ally McBeal'' and ``Dharma dharma (där`mə). ``King of the Hill'' beat out fellow Fox series ``The Simpsons'' as the outstanding animated program.

Emmys in 27 major categories will be presented in two weeks at the Shrine Auditorium. The three-hour ceremony will be broadcast at 8 p.m. Sept. 12 on Fox.

The technical awards presentation will be shown on HBO2 at 8 p.m. Sept. 9 and repeated at 12:10 a.m. Sept. 10.
