Byline: David Kronke Television Critic

HBO's marathon three-hour series of press conferences at the television press tour in Pasadena Wednesday spanned an emotional spectrum ranging from the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina Editing of this page by unregistered or newly registered users is currently disabled due to vandalism.  and the Christmas 2004 tsunami that devastated dev·as·tate

Toni Collette said, ``I was slightly nervous'' about taking a role in ``Tsunami, The Aftermath,'' the miniseries coming in December, less than two years after 300,000 were killed in the tragedy. But she cited a survivor who said, ``Maybe it's too early for the survivors, but it's not too early for the people who weren't there.''

Since the production shot on location in Thailand in areas devastated by the tsunami, Sophie Okonedo Sophie Okonedo (born January 1, 1969) is an Academy Award-nominated British actress. Background

Creator Doug Ellin said director Jim Cameron, who played himself as the film's director on the series, wanted the fictitious film to be a hit. ``He didn't insist; he asked nicely,'' Ellin said, adding diplomatically, I don't think he's made a bad movie. We like to think it was a good movie. But it was a review-proof movie; that was the guiding force of it.''
