HAVE I GOT CASH FOR ME.
SMUG telly star Angus Deayton made more money for 19 minutes work than the average working man earns in a year.
Copier giant Xerox needed a celeb to woo customers during a three-day conference in Birmingham. And they agreed a staggering pounds 12,000 for Deayton's routine.
This worked out at pounds 631 a minute - even more than his much-criticised fee for hosting the BAFTA awards two months ago.
Deayton, 45, who earns pounds 1 million a year from shows like Have I Got News For You, picked up pounds 50,000 for that - or pounds 416 a minute.
One Xerox guest at Birmingham's Hilton Metropole Hotel said: "It was a decent night out but he wasn't that funny.
"None of us realised he could command that sort of payment for less than 20 minutes work."
A spokesman for Xerox refused to discuss the fee. He said: "That's between him and us."
But a showbiz insider said: "The amount stars like Deayton earn from personal appearances is practically limitless."
