HART WILL LOOK AGAIN AT AUDIT OF OVERRUNS GOAL TO AVOID NEW MISTAKES.Byline: CONNIE LLANOS llanos (yä`nōs), Spanish American term for prairies, specifically those of the Orinoco River basin of N South America, in Venezuela and E Colombia. Staff Writer The Hart school board will take another look tonight at an audit of construction overruns under ousted finance chief Rory Livingston. The goal, board members say, is to make sure the findings in the audit are understood to avoid repeating any mistakes in school construction and renovation projects for the William S. Hart Union High School. Officials with Colbi Technologies Inc., which performed the audit, will be present to answer questions. The forensic audit of construction budgets and expenditures, presented to the board in October, revealed a mismanagement mis·man·age tr.v. mis·man·aged, mis·man·ag·ing, mis·man·ag·es To manage badly or carelessly. mis·man age·ment n. of funds during Livingston's tenure and raised serious questions about the lack of detail in the district's records for construction expenditures. Livingston has failed to return several calls from the Daily News seeking comment. Some of the recommendations in the audit already have been addressed by the district. The audit found that, under Livingston's tenure, there was both a lack of oversight and too much centralized power in the district's finance department. Two months ago, Livingston's former position was split into two positions, a chief financial officer and a chief operations officer, to ensure checks and balances. The audit was ordered after Livingston was ousted amid questions of overspending for construction on three campuses, Saugus and Canyon high schools Canyon High School can refer to:
