Congratulations to the youngsters from William S. Hart's Pinto baseball team. The seven- and eight-year-olds did the Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672.  proud by winning the annual West Zone Pony World Series with a 4-0 victory over Corona in the championship game Sunday in Garden Grove Garden Grove, city (1990 pop. 143,050), Orange co., S Calif., a suburb of Long Beach and Los Angeles, on the Santa Ana River; founded 1877, inc. 1956. Many of its residents work in nearby aerospace and defense installations, and there is light manufacturing. .

Nicky Valaika pitched the final inning and ended the game with a strikeout.

``I felt like I was champion. I said to myself, `We just won it all,' '' Nicky said. ``It's a good feeling. Our coaches kept the whole team motivated and we kept on hitting. We weren't sure how good we were going to do in the championship, so we were kind of nervous. It was nice.''

Winning pitcher Josh Randall Josh Randall (born January 27 1972) is an American television actor. He is best known for his role as Dr. Mike Burton in the NBC sitcom Ed and more recently the recurring guest role of Jake in Scrubs. Hart (7-0) averaged 17 runs in the regionals and the team enters World Series competition with a team batting average of .498. The pitchers have also been effective even though they don't throw curveballs like many of their opponents.
