HART BOYS' PREP BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT: CRESPI SMASHES HART TO GAIN SEMIFINAL.

NEWHALL - Ahead by just two points late in the second quarter, Crespi High reeled off a 23-4 spree to thrash Hart 70-45 in Thursday's 70-45 quarterfinal of the Hart Holiday Classic boys' basketball tournament.

``They stayed close for awhile but we stayed aggressive and kept playing hard defense,'' said Crespi's Allan Ellis Allan Ellis (born August 19, 1951 in Los Angeles, California) was a cornerback who played nine seasons in the National Football League. Ellis attended UCLA. , who scored 18 of his 22 points in the first half. ''We got some steals, forced some turnovers and scored a lot of transition baskets.''
