HARRIS NETWORK SYSTEM NOW AVAILABLE ON UNIPROMPT SUPER-MICRO

CASSELBERRY, Fla., Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS) has added the Uniprompt Super-Micro as an approved computer platform for the Harris Network Management (HNM) system. Other platforms for HNM include Harris Night Hawk real-time computers and Sun computer workstations.
HNM is a management system that portrays complex local and wide-area computer networks in simple graphic displays that can be monitored easily from a central location. It allows system administrators to anticipate and resolve network problems before they arise rather than simply to react to critical situations.
The Uniprompt Super-Micro was added to the list of approved hardware platforms for HNM after extensive on-site testing at Harris. Uniprompt's combination of high performance hardware, UNIX and DOS operating-system integration, and ongoing support was instrumental in its selection by Harris.
Uniprompt Microsystems, Inc. of Casselberry, Fla. custom designs, manufactures, configures and installs Super-Micro computer systems nationally and internationally through reseller channels. Super-Micros are a new breed of computer that more fully utilizes microcomputer architecture to deliver high-performance, cost-effective processing capabilities.
