 HAROLD M. WILLIAMS ELECTED TO BROAD INC. BOARD OF DIRECTORS
 LOS ANGELES, Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Harold M. Williams, president and chief executive officer of the J. Paul Getty Trust, has been elected a director of Broad Inc. (NYSE: BRO), a financial services company with more than $13 billion of assets owned or under management.
 Williams, 64, was chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission from 1977 to 1981 and dean of the Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles from 1970 to 1977. Before that, he was chairman of the board of Norton Simon, Inc. and president of Hunt Foods and Industries, Inc. He assumed his current position with the Getty Trust in 1981.
 Williams serves on the boards of directors of Times-Mirror Corp. and American Medical International. A regent of the University of California, he also is a director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and a trustee of the Committee for Economic Development.
