HARDEE'S TO MAKE HOLIDAY RUSH BEAR-ABLE TEAMS UP WITH COCA-COLA FOR PLUSH POLAR BEAR PROMOTION

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- This holiday season, Hardee's Food Systems, Inc. is inviting consumers to make tracks to its restaurants -- bear tracks, that is -- for a promotion sure to produce smiles at the end of the trail.
The world's fourth largest restaurant company will offer exclusively to its customers a 6 1/2" tall "Always Coca-Cola" Polar Bear. Beginning Monday, Hardee's and Roy Rogers customers can buy the plush, all-white bear with the purchase of any Real Value Combo. In addition, customers can collect a series of specially designed 32 ounce plastic cups, featuring the polar bears and Santa Claus with the purchase of a large soft drink.
"This will be a fun promotion for us and our customers," said Jerry Gramaglia, executive vice-president of Marketing for Hardee's. "The Coca-Cola bear is a unique property that is quickly growing in popularity. It gives our customers one more reason to come to Hardee's this holiday season."
In the spirit of the holidays, Hardee's plans to donate several hundred bears to selected children's hospitals and law enforcement agencies, which use the bears to calm children involved in traumatic incidents.
Hardee's Food Systems, Inc., headquartered in Rocky Mount, N.C., operates a system of 4,000 company and franchise restaurants in 40 states and 11 foreign countries. Approximately 650 of the restaurants operate under the Roy Rogers trademark. Hardee's has expanded its hamburger and sandwich menu with fresh fried chicken, becoming the second largest chicken restaurant chain in the world.
