By the time he was in high school, Bart had performed well in school and discovered a love of the sciences. That love will take him to the University of California-Davis, where he'll major in biological sciences. ``I'm not exactly sure where it will lead. But I think I want to go into medical research,'' he said. Despite his academic success, Bart also was determined to compete as an athlete. Though he admits he lacked the natural skill of some of his teamates, this past year Bart was a varsity wrestler who made it to the division tournaments in the 112-pound weight class. ``It was a personal victory. I struggled. It didn't come as naturally to me as school did. But I got farther than I ever thought I would,'' he said. Despite his love for the sport, Bart doesn't intend to wrestle at UC-Davis. ``I don't think I could keep up my grades at the college level. It was hard enough here,'' he said. During the summer Bart said he'd like to forget all the hard work and just ``hang out'' with friends. He will visit Washington D.C. soon, and plans to do some beach camping and jet-skiing.
