HARD TO HANDLE FOUR-GONE CONCLUSION FOR USC?

Byline: SCOTT WOLF Scott Richard Wolf (born June 4, 1968) is an American actor.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts to Steven Wolf and Susan Enowitch, Wolf was raised in West Orange, New Jersey. He graduated in 1986 from West Orange High School.

It's the Final Four for USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code. , as the Trojans' four toughest (and most anticipated) games start this week with Oregon, followed by California, Notre Dame Notre Dame IPA: [nɔtʁ dam] is French for Our Lady, referring to the Virgin Mary. Oregon State's upset of USC knocked some of the luster off the final month, although the Trojans are still not eliminated from the national championship picture. That said, which remaining team offers the best chance to beat USC?

``All of them,'' said a Pac-10 head coach who has faced several of the opponents. ``If the Oregon game is high scoring, they have a chance to win, even if USC should win that game,'' the coach said. ``Cal won't need that type of game, they could win straight up. And so could Notre Dame.''

The coach, who did not want to be identified, said Cal and Notre Dame could exploit USC's secondary, something Oregon State did with success.

``On film, they had no clue how to stop what Oregon State was doing,'' the coach said. ``Cal and Notre Dame will be a problem the way they can move the ball through the air. And UCLA will be an emotional game, so who knows what will happen there?''

While USC could run the table and finish 11-1, if the Trojans stumble, this is the second coach I've talked to this season to mention a possible factor for a loss.

``Defensively, there's a lot of talent, maybe the most in the conference, but some fundamentals are not there,'' he said. ``It even showed up against Stanford, but no one noticed.''

It might not matter this week, or even next week, if USC wins. But no one probably thought it would matter against Oregon State, either.

National title game? Louisville's last perceived obstacle in getting to the BCS (1) (The British Computer Society, Swindon, Wiltshire, England, www.bcs.org) The chartered body for information technology professionals in the U.K., founded in 1957.  title game comes tonight at Rutgers, where more than 300 media members are covering the biggest game in Big East history since last week's West Virginia-Louisville game.

Big East commissioner Mike Tranghese knows if Louisville wins, there will be one-loss teams campaigning to be ahead of the Cardinals. But he won't try to counter-campaign.

``If people want to yell and scream about their one-loss teams, let them scream,'' Tranghese told the Louisville (Ky.) Courier-Journal. ``I just don't think it is going to affect anybody. The Harris poll voters are going to vote the way they do, and it's certainly not going to affect the computers.

``I just think it is almost protectionist pro·tec·tion·ism

Angry fans: Miami quarterback Kyle Wright's father, Ken, is a mild-mannered person but even he could not take the fan abuse after his son completed 14 of 29 passes for 84 yards and threw two interceptions against Virginia Tech. After the loss while waiting outside the locker room, Wright's father needed to be separated from rowdy fans yelling down at him and Kyle from the stands.
